Globetrotting Senior Explorer meets Sticky End under Suspicious Circumstances

A joint effort by both the Ironforge Guard and the authorities in Stormwind are currently investigating the suspicious incineration of a senior dwarven explorer last week. He were found in their home after reports of smoke and a possible housefire reached a guard patrol in Ironforge. Apparently the victim was so badly burned that initial identification was impossible. The remains were devoid of possessions, valuables or any reliable evidence as to what had occured. Bizarrely (and eqaully suspiciously) his personal vault was also found to be devoid of even the most trivial of belongings. The combined efforts of both law enforcement authorites suspect that he was murdered for his vast collection of artifacts and journals, likely worth a great deal of gold to a collector or aspiring thief.

His name has yet to be released, as has a definitive cause of death. The authorities are however said to have ruled out spontaneous combustion.

Explorer's Halls Raided

Late last week, while most of the curators and staff of the Explorers Hall in Ironforge had left for they third beer of the afternoon, a group of mysterious men arrived in the halls and mingled amongst the visitors and passers-by. They eventually sprang, overpowering the skeleton staff and knocking the remaining guards unconcious. Numerous citizens were held at gunpoint. Whilst the bystanders were forced to the floor, the robbers made off with several valuable artifacts.

Once the brazen gang had stowed away their ill-gotten gains, they left as swiftly and serupticiously as they had arrived. Moments later the alarm was raised and the Ironforge Guard arrived at the scene. While there were no immediate casualties from this brazen raid, the damage to the Hall of Explorers proviously peerless reputation for security is already done. Guards in the Hall have been doubled in the past few nights. No information on the appearance of the group has been released, nor has a complete inventory of what was taken by the robbers. Meanwhile Ironforge has to wonder whether these raiders will strike again.
