Red Snapper banned

by fear of Murloc Conspiracy

It's a d*rn d*rnit d*rnittity outrage!" said restaurant owner Gimilkhâd Silverfeather. "What am I supposed to serve my customers?! Fangtooth Herring?! They're putting me out of buisness!"

The reason behind the ban is supposedly the fear of a sinister murloc conspiracy to overthrow His Majesty King Bronzebeard. This makes this case yet another murloc conspiracy in the long chain of such cases that Ironforge has faced the last few months. Not more then two months ago the guards carried out a full house-to-house search for mutant murlocs. Though none were found, the Guard Captain Gimilkhâd Silverfeather is still certain they must remain vigilant when it comes to murloc threats.

"'Em bleedin' murlocs are tryin' ta' get the upper hand one way or another! If'n by mutant murlocs or with red snappah!" he told the Herald.

"How exactly are the murlocs using the red snapper to undermine the kingdom?" I asked him.

Captain Silverfeather looks a tad confused before he answers: "Wael, we dunnae' know exactly, they're sneaky wee bastards ye' see! Allways plottin', allways plottin', with their gloomy little eyes and sharp pointy claws, and... what was yer question again?"

"Can we expect to see the snapper ban lifted any time soon?"

"Wael, soon as'n thur's been established they be nae' more of a threat ta' 'eh Kingdom we'll be liftin' 'eh ban. Dont want 'em restaurants ta' run out of buisness."

With the ban in place the Ironforge Guards also prepare themselves for a possible rise in smuggling. Control posts at the Stormwind end of the Deeprun Tram and the Ironforge Gates have been erected. So far there have only been small findings that have all been confiscated and dealt with. Yet rumour has it that the apparently dangerous red snapper can still be found on the market, which could indicate that the lack of major findings of red snapper supplies is nothing but proof that smugglers have found a way to elude the grasp of the Ironforge Guards.

Citizens are advised to report any sighting of murlocs or red snapper to the authorities immediately.
