Within
the halls of Ulduar, he stirs. The beast of a thousand maws, with his
prison broken and his position unchecked, we know countless heroes
charged through. I myself was lucky enough to be attached to a small
force who had managed to enter what is known as the 'Antechamber'.
Within
the chamber we first came across an crouched man in the corner, he
spoke of a protector, a creature of stone that blocked the way for many
of the brave adventures, his voice echoing through the mans head. The
madness of the place had reached him and with that he fell dead.
The
small band of heroes progressed, with sword and shield at the ready.
Bodies scattered the hallways and the staircase and at the top, to our
suprise there he was... the creature.
He
roared at the group 'None shall pass!', the leader looking on at the
pile of bodies, the broken tiles and weapons, and with weapon in hand
charged the guardian. His stone hands, swiping at the group. Picking
heroes and throwing them against the wall, crushing numbers as well. I
myself at far enough range, firing at the Stone giants hands. With
focused fire the hand broke into pieces, heroes staggering up from the
ground. The Stone giant roared once more 'Just a scratch!', the party
of heroes slashing and cutting the beast to pieces. Suddenly, from his
eyes laser formed, hoovering over the heroes killing them off, his gaze
turned to me and started moving closer, I ran for it down the stairs to
a safe area and waited.
Minutes later cheers could be heard from
those who had survived and the guardians final words 'Master, they
come....' I returned to the party and congratulated them, his body now
making a bridge across and his head broken apart.
The
party of heroes ventured on, I myself examined the creature we fought
and explorered the few areas that had been cleaned. Before me lay the
broken prison of the beast alongside the numerous unaccounted dead.
So
we thank this day for the valiant heroes who risk they lives within the
depths and for the Explorers who have supported this campaign from the
start.
