rotuesqe murder of local bakery assistant
On the 20th, guards were met by a grouesome sight as they left the Command Center for a standard patrol. A young woman was found completely naked showing severe signs of heavy beatings, broken bones and blood all over. In her broken hand the guards found three beautiful young roses, without doubt some twisted message.
The victim has been identified as the local bakery assistant Laura Vynette, well liked and without any criminal record. The guards appear to be clueless in the case with the exception of the roses. One can only pray the guilty will be put to justice.
In an unrelated incident a couple in Stormwind were viciously attacked last night by a wild
animal that was later described by eyewitnesses as being ‘some kind of
giant wolf.’ Both parties survived the attack, though only thanks to
the intervention of a passing member of the Draenic community who
helped them to fend off the beast. The animal fled the scene, and was
last seen headed towards the canals. Those attacked required the
ministrations of a healer at the scene before being taken for
questioning about the assault.
A statement from the Stormwind City Guard is said to be forthcoming, but current advice from official sources recommends that the people of Stormwind are particularly vigilant during the nights until this animal is caught or slain, and travelling alone after dark is not recommended. Questions fielded to the Guard as to whether this attack could be related to other animal attacks in the region were not commented upon. The attack last night however was similar to those that took place three years ago in the city when a feral druid went on the rampage until she was apprehended by a combined ambush by the Guard and members of the now-defunct Ember Throne. Another disturbing possibility is that the recent military actions in Duskwood against Horde raiders have displaced the packs of Worgen that roam there into the Elwynn forest.
