The 11th of July saw Jaren Greycastle Knighted into the Brotherhood of the Horse. Jaren Greycastle of Stormwind had been a squire in the Brotherhood for quite some time and this marked his progression to a new level within the Brotherhood. Before the event started King Varian, Sir Boen Goodwin the Knight Captain of the Brotherhood and Lady Maryanne Weston High Magistrate of Stormwind gathered on the mighty throne of Stomwind Keep ready to lead the proceedings. As a crowd started to gather some notable faces arrived, among them Archmage Numenoria of the Kirin Tor among other nobles of the Alliance territories and a plethora of Stormwinds high and mighty.

Sir Boen's Armour glistened in the light which beamed down from the ceiling. His voice shaking the very foundations of the keep as he bellowed down the marble hall. He called for Greycastle from the throne and the procession began. Greycastle was clad in his best Armour, cleaned and polished, you wouldn't even know that he was a battle hardened soldier. Once Greycastle had reached the throne Lady Maryanne Weston began reading the oath that he would have to swear by. As each part of the oath was read Greycastle would move a step closer to the King untill he reached the final step and the oath was made. At this momen Sir Boen struck out at Lord Greycastle with a clenched fist and gave him a mighty punch to the face. This barbaric motion was all part of the ceremony however and they both gave a hearty chuckle as blood dripped from Lord Greycastle's nose.

I managed to get a few words from the newly appointed Knight he had this to say. " Its a grand feelingyet very humbling at the same time." and " it means I will serve the king and the people of Stormwind wherever i am needed In northrend or against the horde." What a man, willing to lay his life on the line for our people and King, even if that means he must march into the icy reaches of Northrend to fight against Arthas and his scourge.

More exclusive news and happenings from Stormwind and beyond in the next issue.

Nice work! Just a couple things: it won't be "today" when this article is published, so "today" needs to be replaced with the actual date of the event. And the little "more next ish" thing at the end isn't necessary and should probably be removed. Also, I think King Varian should always be referred to as "His Majesty", but that's just me.

A question for all heralds: should we adopt an official policy of never showing photographs of His Majesty? It seems like it'd be thought of as somehow sacriligous...

All suggestions duly noted :) I think that showing "His Majesty" in pictures at an event such as this should be fine. I don't see a problem in that respect but I also don't see another point at which there would be a picture of him other than in events like this... But thats just my two cents.
